MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: GREG BIRD! Always a great way to open up a link dump. We all love Greg Bird. Perhaps no one loved Greg Bird more than former Pinstripe Alley site manager Tanya Bondurant. Greg Bird once hit three HRs for her. Another person who loves Bird is Brian Cashman. Cashman has faith in the Greg Bird and expects him to play a big role with the Yankees’ this season. Cashman is also looking at third base and potentially to rookie Miguel Andujar. While his offense seems superb, his defense could be a question. Cashman says that he has worked very hard on it and should benefit from spring training. That cannot come fast enough.

New York Daily News | Mike Mazzeo: There’s been a lot of talk about potentially trading David Robertson to make room for on the payroll for a free agent signing. It’s unclear how soon after hearing this Kunj Shah went Super Saiyan, but it probably didn’t take long. However, here’s an idea. Don’t trade D-Rob. Keep him. With the somewhat odd seasons of Dellin Betances and Aroldis Chapman, having D-Rob around is pretty good bullpen insurance. Heck, it’s pretty great to have him back regardless. So yeah, don’t trade D-Rob.

New York Post | Kevin Kernan: Luis Severino did not win the American League Cy Young award last year. If you ask me, he was robbed. Robbed I say! Severino is ready to once again show he can be as good as Chris Sale and Corey Kluber. He wants to be the best, like no one ever was. To catch them is his real test. To win games is his cause. He will travel across the land, pitching far and wide. Each Yankee win, he’ll understand, the power that’s inside!
