Last month, I asked the Pinstripe Alley team to cast their ballots for our fictional Hall of Fame. The staff inducted a large class — eight strong! Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, Mike Mussina, Edgar Martinez, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Vladimir Guerrero, and Larry Walker all earned baseball immortality.
In exactly one week, the Baseball Writers’ Association of America will announce the results of the 2018 voting. That means it’s time to carry on the site’s tradition of community voting. I’ve duplicated the Hall of Fame ballot for our readers to use as their own. You may cast your ballot using this Survey Monkey poll.
Imagine that you’re an eligible voter. You may select up to 10 players, but you’re not required to use the maximum number. Players who receive 75% of the votes get enshrined in our Hall of Fame. You’re not compelled to reveal your ballot, but we encourage the discussion. If you’re for balloting transparency, let us know how you voted in the comment section below.
The ballot will remain open until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 22nd. The results will be posted on Pinstripe Alley the next morning. The more participation the better sample we have to work with, so cast your votes and start the discussion!
