Yankees' biggest weakness

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

IMHO, there are two general categories of hitters: Those who primarily hit pitchers' mistakes, and those who can hit good pitching. As the season winds down and the pitching gets tougher, it appears that the Yankees do not have enough player that can hit good pitching. Pitchers in the playoffs make their pitches, so players that can adapt to good pitching are most valuable and hard to come by. I think it would be a big improvement to see our players not try to pull everything when up against pitchers who will throw low and outside sliders. Make contact instead of striking out.
