Last week I asked Pinstripe Alley readers where they would rank Joe Girardi among other MLB managers. One PSA reader decided that Girardi would certainly be in the top 10, and an interesting discussion ensued in the comments. It’s never too late to chime in with your thoughts if you want to join the conversation.

Here’s this week’s prompt:

What changes would you make to the MLB postseason format?

We know that the Yankees are going to play at least one postseason game. It is looking less and less likely that the Yankees will be able to win the division, so Yankees fans might as well start gearing up for a Wild Card game. I personally have never been a fan of the second wild card spot because it just doesn’t seem fair for one single game to decide anything. Do you like the wild card format as it is or do you think it should be formatted as a best of three series (or something else)? Let us know if you would make any changes to anything pertaining to the other postseason series, as well.

How will we select which FanPosts to promote to the front page? Some of it will be subjective. If you follow our tips linked above, you should find yourself on the right track. We will also be looking for FanPosts with comments and recommendations. Depending on the number of responses we get, receiving some recs on your post could separate your FanPost from the crowd. Additionally, if your post has a number of comments then it may have sparked some worthwhile discussions. These are just a few things we’ll be looking for when we decide which post(s) to promote on the front page. We are always on the lookout for new talent, and the FanPost section can be a great way to get our attention.
