MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: Matt Holliday has not been good lately. Ever since ordering the fish in Oakland instead of the Lasagna, he has not been the same quality hitter we enjoyed watching before that West Coast trip. Now it appears that he is about to be put on the 10-Day DL due to a lower back injury. Holliday will be evaluated and the Yankees will see how much time he needs on the DL.

New York Post | George A King III: Brian Cashman discussed Gary Sanchez’s defensive issues behind the plate recently. Cashman mentioned that Sanchez added about eight to twelve pounds of muscle during the offseason, which has somewhat limited his flexibility. It is similar to what happened with Luis Severino during the 2015 offseason. Like Severino, hopefully Gary will bounce back from this issues. The good thing is that he is still young and can learn. You know, like rookies do.

New York Daily News | Mike Mazzeo: Some fans were skeptical of the trades that Brian Cashman made during the trade deadline, due to concerns that he was throwing away the farm or some such gobbledygook. It turns out that the Yankees’ still have one of the best farm systems in the majors. After all was said and done, the Yankees’ system moved from #2 to #4. I believe that’s what they call “depth.”

New York Daily News | Christian Red: Finally, the legend of Sonny Gray. No really, that’s the title of the article. It’s still a pretty good look at the history of the Yankees’ newest pitcher. You should give it a read.
