New York Post | George A. King III: Sonny Gray made his Yankee debut last night. Don’t let the box score deceive you, Gray pitched a solid game but was let down by his defense. Sure the offense was over-matched by Corey Kluber anyway so it might not have mattered, but three first-inning errors made Gray’s day look uglier than it actually was. He actually pitched a solid game and really only made one mistake.

Players’ Tribune | Sonny Gray: Before Sonny Gray’s start yesterday, he released a piece via renowned blogger Derek Jeter’2 blog. Gray shared an adorable story about how he explained the trade to his son and how he’s excited to join the Yankees and a pennant race. Now Gray, his son, and his wife are all on board with coming to New York and joining the Yankee family.

Players’ Tribune | Nick Swisher: BRO!! Nick Swisher also took to the Player2’ Tribune to share his thoughts on the new Baby Bombers who are taking New York by storm. Swisher talks about how Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, and Clint Frazier are leading the team’s playoff push this year. He also mentions Greg Bird and how fans shouldn’t forget about him because of his injury. These “thunder cats” are the real deal.

New York Post | Hannah Withiam: The Yankees have three more regular season series against the Red Sox. If everything holds up the way it’s scheduled now, the Yankees get to face Chris Sale in each of those series. John Farrell gave Sale an extra day of rest this week so he could be lined up to face the Yankees three more times. Thanks for that, Farrell. But if it’s all the same to you, I’d rather the Yankees just pay full Price.
