The Yankees snatched victory from the jaws of defeat on Friday night after they battled back late against the Red Sox before Boston roughed them up early and often on Saturday. The rubber game is one that the Red Sox will no doubt be feeling good about with Chris Sale on the mound, but the Yankees have managed to beat him twice already this season.
Jordan Montgomery is making the start for New York in the place of CC Sabathia, but he very nearly wasn't able to do so after being hit square in the side of the head with a foul ball while signing autographs during batting practice on Saturday. Thankfully, Montgomery is okay and ready to go. Hopefully the offense is ready too. He'll need their support as he goes up against the best pitcher in the American League this season.
