Last night's win tied the series at one game a piece, and the Yankees will send out Sonny Gray tonight in the rubber match. Gray makes his second start for the Bombers tonight. In his first outing for New York, Gray struck out six in six innings and only allowed three earned runs. HoweveCorey Kluber cGray faces off against Marco Estrada tonight, so one has to think this is a prime opportunity for him to earn his first Yankee win.
Earlier today it was announced that Clint Frazier was heading to the 10-day DL with a left oblique strain. Frazier was a late-scratch from yesterday's lineup after he felt some discomfort during batting practice. It doesn't seem like too devastating an injury, but obliques can be tricky.
In place of Frazier, the Yankees have activated Aaron Hicks from the DL. He's being inserted right into Frazier's spot in the lineup. He'll play left field and hit second tonight.
Game time is set for 7:07 PM and will be broadcast on YES.
