The lead-up to the non-waiver trade deadline makes for one of the most exciting weeks of the season. That makes it a good time to touch base with another “Ask Pinstripe Alley” mailbag.
Since our last round of questions and answers, the Yankees have gone 11 - 14. The Bombers really free fell for a while. Thankfully, the team seems to have righted the ship.
Part of that is due to the arrival of reinforcements. The Yankees traded a package headlined by Blake Rutherford to the White Sox for David Robertson, Tommy Kahnle, and Todd Frazier. Plus they called up Clint Frazier, who has been as advertised. There have been some lows, but the Yankees are trending in the right direction.
Any and all questions are welcome. You could ask about the trade with Chicago, what the Yankees need at the deadline, the injuries to Michael Pineda and Starlin Castro, or anything else that pops into your head.
You can leave your question in the comment section, or send them in an e-mail at pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com. Any questions received by Saturday night on July 29th will be eligible. Thanks!
