The Yankees have won two in a row and play for the series win tonight in Seattle. Thankfully, this is the last West Coast night game this year. Masahiro Tanaka has the ball for game three of this four-game series. The Yankees will face lefty Ariel Miranda at the plate.
Earlier this evening it was announced that Starlin Castro was headed back to the 10-Day DL. The news is disappointing, but not at all surprising. The Yankees brought Castro back too soon, and the Castro had clearly not been playing at 100% since coming off the DL last weekend. Tyler Wade is coming up to replace Castro and will likely be with the team for the game tomorrow afternoon.
Clint Frazier gets another start in left field tonight after going 1-4 with an RBI-double and run scored last night. Consequently, Jacoby Ellsbury sits tonight with a lefty on the mound. Frazier bats second tonight for the second time in his career.
The game will be broadcast tonight on YES. First pitch is scheduled for 9:10 PM EST.
