The trade deadline is exactly two weeks from today. The way the next few series play out will likely determine the Yankees' course of action. The club has been in a holding pattern for more than a month now. A series win in the Twin Cities would go a long way.
After a taxing series in Boston, the Yankees send Bryan Mitchell to the mound. The right-hander owns a 5.06 ERA over 16 innings in 2017. This will be his first start of the season. Somehow Mitchell played an inning at first base this year before starting a game. Baseball can be weird sometimes. As for the Twins, Adalberto Mejia gets the start. The rookie southpaw has pitched a 4.43 ERA over 13 starts. It will be interesting how this matchup plays out.
First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 PM and can be seen on YES.
