New York Daily News | Peter Botte: Last night’s game was a microcosm of how little time we have left on this Earth and a reminder to enjoy Arby’s. It was also a sign that maybe the Yankees’ bullpen could be better than being bad. Every single member of the pen pitched okay, save for a brief moment where Adam Warren had to bail out Chasen Shreve. There’s also the matter of Aroldis Chapman having problems striking batters out. He still got the needed outs though.

Newsday | Erik Boland: Even though Chapman did not give up any runs yesterday, there is still some concern due to the above mentioned inability to strike batters out. Larry Rothschild attempts to “Rothsplain” exactly what he thinks his issues are, which essentially boils down to control. Control is nice. It’s not just a great Janet Jackson album. You want your pitchers to have it. When they don’t have it, especially your closer, it’s not what you want. | Bryan Hoch: On Friday, the Yankees got Matt Holliday back from the DL. Yay. Yesterday, the Yankees got Starlin Castro back from the DL. Also yay. The Yankees are glad to have them back. While Ronald Torreyes has been a serviceable backup at the position, he is still just a backup. Getting back Castro meant that Tyler Wade was sent back down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. With Castro returning from a hamstring injury, he will probably not play in both games today.

New York Daily News | Mike Mazzeo: It seems like the Tyler Clippard 7th inning guy experiment is coming to a close. Despite Girardi using him in a high leverage situation in yesterday’s game, he is ready to try either Chad Green or Adam Warren as the bridge to Betances & Chapman. It doesn’t mean an end to seeing Clippard though. Doesn’t matter. It’s the right decision.
