Yesterday's win against the Blue Jays was quite fun. The Yankees seemed to have everything working. There was good pitching, solid defense, and a whole lot of home runs. How about we do that again today? Leaving Toronto with a series victory would be pretty great.
In order to do that, the Yankees are sending Luis Severino to the mound. He's been their best pitcher all season, with a 2.93 ERA (3.06 FIP) to prove it. He squares off against another young starter, Marcus Stroman. The Jays right-hander owns a 3.28 ERA (3.65 FIP) over 68.2 innings pitched. The Bombers tagged Stroman for five runs last month. I, for one, would sign up for a repeat performance.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:07 PM. You can follow along locally on YES or MLB Network.
