New York Yankees @ Chicago White Sox: Behold, A Pale Hose

A 7 game road trip kicks off on the South Side tonight

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

April was a happy month for Yankees fans, as the team stormed out to great start, boosted by winning 2 of 3 in a home series against the Chicago White Sox. The Yankees would certainly be agreeable to a similar result in Chicago this time, as they're stuck in a rut of bad baseball and need to turn it around soon.

Jordan Montgomery will begin the task of righting the Yankee ship tonight in his fifteenth start of the season. The lefthander logged a quality start in his last game against the White Sox, going 6 innings, surrendering 3 runs while striking out 4. He's looking for his third win in his last 4 starts tonight.

The Sox counter with David Holmberg, who on first glance might strike you as alright, sporting a 2.84 ERA. The 25 year old has had career trouble keeping the ball in the park, so only time will tell if this season's good start is a new normal for him.

Aaron Hicks, Mason Williams and Tyler Webb are all gone from the active roster, with Hicks DL'd and the other two optioned to AAA. Jacoby Ellsbury was activated this morning, is batting sixth, and Rob Refsnyder and Ronald Herrera were recalled to fill out the 25 man roster.

First pitch is at 8:10 EDT, on WPIX and WFAN.
