Clayton Kershaw has been the best pitcher in the league since 2009. He has shown durability by throwing at least 150 innings in seven out of his 8 full big league seasons and dominated batters his entire career, which is clear through his lifetime 2.37 ERA and 1.002 WHIP. Although Kershaw is approaching 30 he is the type of pitcher who will be able to pitch for a long time. Although Kershaw's stats in the postseason are not the best, he had a great series against the World Series champion Cubs compiling a 3.00 ERA over 12.0 innings which is something that he can build upon. Kershaw is the pitcher that makes the most sense for the Yankees, him being left handed is perfect for yankee stadium because of the right field porch, and he is the ace the Yankees have been looking for. That is why I feel as though he would be the best player for the Yankees to trade their system for. The deal that I would put in place for Kershaw is Gleyber Torres, Clint Frazier, Justus Sheffield, Chance Adams (the hardest to give up because I feel as though he has ace potential), Blake Rutherford, Tyler Webb, and Estevan Florial. This probably would not even be enough for Clayton Kershaw but I would definitely be willing to give up these pieces to acquire him.
