New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Angels: Luis Severino vs. Jesse Chavez

I miss winning streaks, so let's make one.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees have a win in the books! After losing seven games straight, the longest losing streak in the American League this year, the Bombers are back in the win column after a nice start from Jordan Montgomery and dingers from Didi Gregorius and Matt Holliday.

The Yankees are looking to seal a series win for the first time since the Orioles series almost two weeks ago. They'll have Luis Severino on the mound, and he has, frankly, been one of the best pitchers in the league. By DRA WAR, he's 13th in baseball, better than: Jacob deGrom, Jon Lester, Corey Kluber, and Marcus Stroman. He very might be ace-material. We'll see. Jesse Chavez is on the bump for the Angels, and he has a 92 ERA+ since 2015, so this is a pitcher the Yankees should smash.

Lineup-wise, the Yankees will send Holliday back to designated hitter and the First Baseman We Know And Love Chris Carter is back. Ronald Torreyes will start at third, as Chase Headley gets a day off.

Go Yankees, go baseball.
