The Yankees have made eight selections in this year’s MLB Draft and six of them have been right-handed pitchers so far. Kyle Zurak from Radford was the latest of those right-handers.

Zurak had a fantastic season for Radford this season as their closer, having a much better season as a senior that he had ever had. Although he profiles as a reliever at the next level, it seems like the potential is there for him to find lots of success.

He struck out a career-high 73 batters in 60 innings for the Highlanders in 2017. He led the league with a 1.03 ERA and had the sixth-most strikeouts in the Big South. It’s comforting to see one of these guys coming off a strong season instead of the other way around.
