After scoring at least eight runs a game in each of the past four games, it probably wouldn't be surprising to see a 2-1 pitcher's duel in the series finale against the Orioles. As long as the Yankees came out on top, I'm sure we'd all be okay with that result.
Chad Green gets the spot start with Masahiro Tanaka's start pushed back until tomorrow against the Angels. It will be Green's first start of the season, although he's been effective in long relief so far in 2017, with a 1.62 ERA in 16.2 innings of work.
Kevin Gausman counters for the Orioles. He has not been very good at all in 2017, giving up a lot of home runs and allowing a lot of balls in play. It's his third time facing the Yankees this season, and he's posted a line of 16 IP, 24 H, 11 ER, 10 BB, 11 K.
First pitch is at 1:05 pm EDT, and broadcast on YES and WFAN.
Roster note: Tommy Layne was DFA'd last night, Domingo German takes his place on the active roster.
