The Windy City has been pretty kind to the Yankees so far. New York has won their first two game against the reigning World Series champions, and they send Luis Severino to the mound to try and pull off the sweep. Beating a good team like the Cubs legitimizes the start the Yankees have gotten out to. They aren't doing it against league bottom feeders. This team could be for real.
Jacoby Ellsbury returns to the lineup after a brief hiatus with a bruised nerve in his elbow. Matt Holliday gets a taste of first base duties without the DH in a National League park. The offense has been a huge strength so far, which will hopefully continue in the series finale.
This will likely be the last game for the Yankees in Wrigley for a while unless these two teams meet in the World Series. Enjoy it.
