Are you having fun yet? Because the Yankees sure are.
It's been a wild weekend in the Bronx as the Bombers have truly lived up to their name, hitting nine homers and scoring 26 runs over two games against the division leading Orioles. It's a nice day for a sweep in New York. The weather has cooled off a bit but it seems nothing will cool off the red-hot bats of the Yanks. We have no problem with that.
It'll be Jordan Montgomery on the bump for the Yankees, facing off against Wade Miley for the Orioles. Monty has seen a fair share of success in his young career—showing command, composure, and enough stuff to strike out 16 batters in a little over 16 IP. Miley, on the other hand, has not been very good against the Pinstripes. In eight lifetime starts, he has a 4.96 ERA and has yet to put up a W against New York.
So, let's see if the rook can hold off the dangerous bats of the Orioles as the Yanks try to add a little more cushion to that first place seat. As for the fans, we'll just be sitting here, enjoying our Sunday, and pondering life's most important questions:
Will the Yanks hit 8 more home runs today?
Will Higgy get his first hit?
Will Meredith Marakovits actually get Aaron Judge to say something besides "teammates" and "Yankees" in his inevitable post-game interview?
We'll soon find out.
Catch the game on YES and MASN at 1:05 EST and be sure to tell us how much fun you're having in the game thread.
