Last week I asked Pinstripe Alley readers to craft the Yankees’ optimal 2017 lineup. Many of the submissions focused on the importance of separating Jacoby Ellsbury and Brett Gardner in the lineup. There was also some debate about where Gary Sanchez should hit. The submissions seem to improve every week, so thanks to everyone who has participated! If you missed any, you can find the other lineup FanPosts here.
Here is this week’s prompt, borrowed from our friends over at Twinkie Town:
Rank all 30 MLB teams from your favorite to your least favorite
Presumably the Yankees come out on top, or you wouldn’t be here. Don’t just tell us that the Yankees are first and the Red Sox are last. I want you to rank all of the teams using whatever criteria you see fit. Be sure to explain why you ranked each team where you did. Maybe the Rays take the 30th spot because Tropicana Field is terrible. Or maybe the White Sox are in your top three because you love David Robertson. You might even want to rank the 29 non-Yankees teams based on how ugly you think their uniform is. Be creative!
How will we select which FanPosts to promote to the front page? Some of it will be subjective. If you follow our tips linked above, you should find yourself on the right track. We will also be looking for FanPosts with comments and recommendations. Depending on the number of responses we get, receiving some recs on your post could separate your FanPost from the crowd. Additionally, if your post has a number of comments then it may have sparked some worthwhile discussions. These are just a few things we’ll be looking for when we decide which post(s) to promote on the front page. We are always on the lookout for new talent, and the FanPost section can be a great way to get our attention.
Make sure you head over to the FanPost section of the site to submit your answers before Friday (April 7th).
