Pinstripe Alley is looking for new writers for the upcoming season

Would you like to write about the Yankees in 2017? Here’s your chance.

MLB: Spring Training-Philadelphia Phillies at New York Yankees Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

Opening Day is rapidly approaching, which means the staff here at Pinstripe Alley is ready to ramp up our coverage of the Yankees for the season ahead. To ensure that we have the manpower to continue providing what is (in my opinion) the best free and consistent Yankees content out there, we are looking to add a couple writers for 2017.

New writers would be expected to complete two articles per week. This can be an analysis piece, some kind of editorial, or a game recap. We are also looking for someone who knows a thing or two about social media to help us expand our #brand on other platforms.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in doing, the process for applying is fairly simple. Write a FanPost on the site on one of the following topics. FanPosts should be at least 500 words, and you should designate somewhere within the FanPost that you’d like to be considered as a writer. To write a FanPost on the site, you must be a member of Pinstripe Alley. Sign up is available on the bottom of every page.

Choose one of the following two prompts:

  1. Write a recap of a Yankees spring training game
  2. Write an editorial about how you’d like to see baseball change in the next five years

If you are interested in the social media aspect, send me an email at the address below. The writer position is volunteer. Compensation for social media help can be negotiated. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments below, or email me at tbondurant12 at gmail dot com.

Please have your FanPosts in by 10:00 pm ET next Friday, March 31st.

One of the better perks of this gig is that being on staff and interacting with each other every day lends itself to becoming this fairly close-knit bunch of people. I can safely say that some of the people I work with here are some of my favorite people. We’d love for you to join us!
