Various Yankees are suiting up for their respective countries as the World Baseball Classic approaches.

Although Yankees like Masahiro Tanaka and Gary Sanchez have decided to forego the World Baseball Classic in favor of a full slate of spring training games, there are still some players who will be participating in the event. Here are the teams those players will be representing.

Didi Gregorius - Team Netherlands

Dellin Betances - Team Dominican Republic

Luis Severino - Team Dominican Republic

Michael Pineda - Team Dominican Republic*

Tyler Clippard - Team USA

Tommy Layne - Team Italy

Giovanny Gallegos - Team Mexico

Donovan Solano - Team Colombia

Tito Polo - Team Colombia

*Pineda is listed among eligible players, though he is not on the actual roster as of now; it will probably take an injury for him to play.

Hopefully everyone, and especially the players who are necessary to the big league club’s success, stays healthy throughout the tournament. Everyone remembers what happened with Mark Teixeira’s wrist in the last WBC. Here’s to not having anything like that be an issue this time around.

Editor’s note: Richard Bleier was originally included in this list on Team Israel before he was designated for assignment and claimed by the Orioles. Kellin Deglan was also mentioned on Team Canada, but he had to withdraw due to injury.
