Spring training 2017: Yankees vs. Blue Jays game thread

The Yankees get their first look at the Blue Jays today, but won’t face a Toronto squad full of regulars.

MLB: Spring Training-New York Yankees at Philadelphia Phillies Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Today the Yankees will play their first spring training game against a division rival. It is a split-squad game for the Blue Jays, and most of their Opening Day squad stayed home to face the Phillies. Luis Severino will get the start for the Yankees today, and Jacoby Ellsbury will make his spring training debut. Today’s lineup looks like one that we could see fairly often during the regular season.

Other pitchers lined up today are Johnny Barbato, Brady Lail, Jason Gurka, and J.P. Feyereisen. Today’s second-string players consist of Kyle Higashioka (C), Donovan Solano (1B), Pete Kozma (2B), Tyler Wade (SS), Ruben Tejada (3B), Ronald Torreyes (LF), Rashad Crawford (CF), and Billy McKinney (RF).

The game starts at 1:05 EST, and you can follow along on YES. It looks like you can also watch through MLB.tv, or listen to the audio on WFAN.
