FanRag | Jon Heyman: There is so much Heyman can tell you, so much he can say. Yu remains a probable pitcher in play. To Cash, he’d be a great addition that we can’t deny. Won’t you tell me, is he healthy, baby? But did you know that while it snows, his moves will loom large and the guys that he signs will be keen.

Okay, I think I’m done. In case you didn’t get all of that, the Yankees are reportedly interested in Yu Darvish. Cashman still wants another starter and talks regarding Gerrit Cole are in limbo. The Yankees desire to get under the luxury tax could derail their Darvish dreams though, unless they can move another contract off the books. Perhaps Jacoby Ellsbury? Probably not.

FanRag | Jon Heyman: Giancarlo Stanton is a New York Yankee. Nope, still not tired of typing that phrase. Not even close. Giancarlo Stanton makes a lot of money. He’ll be making slightly less as a New York Yankee due to the increased taxation from living in NYC. Mind you, in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a huge huge loss for Stanton. Still, it’s the offseason and well, why not look into this? I guess.

MLB.com | Jonathan Mayo: Here we have a list of 12 prospects that are poised to break out in 2018. One of those prospects is Yankees’ #7 prospect Albert Abreu. Abreu pitched very well in the Arizona Fall League. All eyes will be on Double-A next year. Double-A is my nickname for him. No one will call him that except me.

MLBTradeRumors | Jeff Todd: Just a quick blurb/rumor here. There are rumors that the Red Sox are interested in trading for Manny Machado. Being that the Red Sox are just as much division rivals as the Yankees are, it’s unclear if the O’s would want to trade him to Boston. It’s also unclear if even the legendary prospect tradin’ Dave Dombroski would be willing to give up anything of significant value for one year of Machado. We’ll see.
