Newsday | Neil Best: Remember last week when news broke that CC Sabathia and the Yankees had agreed to a one-year deal? Well it wasn’t official, until now. The deal is for one year and worth $10 million but was pending a physical which Sabathia has now passed. If he can come close to replicating his 2017 season, he will be a boon for Boone.

New York Daily News | Mike Mazzeo: Though the Yankees have officially brought Sabathia back, they’re still in the market for another pitcher. They don’t seem to love the free agent options so if they get one, it’ll likely be through a trade. The Yankees do have the prospects to deal for a solid pitcher while still maintaining the integrity of their overall system. Here are the prospects who could be traded and the ones who would likely be off the table in any deal.

New York Post | Ken Davidoff: Another year gone and another year of “overrated or over-hated” from the Post. This year’s list includes Dellin Betances and Greg Bird for being “over-hated” by the Yankees’ front office (aka Randy Levine and an anonymous front office executive probably known as Randy Levine). Jacoby Ellsbury, Brett Gardner, Joe Girardi, Derek Jeter, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Ronald Torreyes, and the Yankees’ dumb hair policy also make the list.

PSA Slack | Kento Mizuno: Not really news, but he knows what he did.
