Biggest mistake of the Yankees’ 2017 season

We took a week off for Thanksgiving, but we’re back with another FanPost prompt this week. What was the biggest mistake of the Yankees’ 2017 season?

Now that the season is in the rearview mirror, it feels like enough time has passed to reflect on the season as a whole. What do you think the biggest mistake of the season was? Was it a specific moment during a game, like Joe Girardi’s non-challenge during the ALDS? Was it the Yankees’ decision not to acquire so-and-so from Team X? Will Brian Cashman live to regret giving up a certain prospect at the trade deadline?
