Options for Gleyber Torres; Profiling Thairo Estrada; MLB’s all-Thanksgiving lineup

MLB: Spring Training-Chicago Cubs at Colorado Rockies Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports | Brendan Kuty: Not too long ago, Brian Cashman said that top prospect Gleyber Torres would have a chance to win a starting spot on the major league roster for Opening Day. He cited that people in the organization felt that Torres was ready last year, so there’s no reason he shouldn’t have a shot this year. How likely is that though? While he’ll earn a chance, it’s still most likely that Torres will start 2018 in Triple-A, barring any injuries.

FanRag Sports | Gary Phillips: One of the breakout stars of the Arizona Fall League for the Yankees has been Thairo Estrada. Estrada hit .342/.381/.430 with 10 RBI in 20 games. For 2018 though, because of everyone that’s ahead of him, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Estrada makes it on to the big league roster before September. With their middle infield depth, though, the Yankees might even use Estrada as trade bait.

Cut4 | Chris Landers: Yesterday was Thanksgiving. A day filled with delicious feasts for many, but just because it’s a heavily food-related holiday doesn’t mean we can’t somehow incorporate baseball! Here’s an all time MLB lineup featuring baseball’s most delicious names (I realize how weird that was to read. Imagine how weird it was to type that). I won’t tell you which Yankee makes the list, but can it BE any more obvious?

We Are Gary

Gary Sanchez took time out to wish us all a Happy Thanksgiving and let us know he thankful for us, I’d imagine he’s talking about me specifically. Now seems like a good time to let Gary know we’re thankful for him too. #WeAreGary
