MLB: New York Yankees-Workouts
Does everyone love him or is it Justus?
Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

YES Network | A.J. Herrmann: Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play. Okay, fine, you’re not an all-star. Maybe you’re a rock star though! I don’t know. What I do know is that Justus Sheffield and Thairo Estrada are All-Stars in the Arizona Fall League. They could possibly be joined by Billy McKinney and Estevan Florial as they were both named finalists for the “Final 2” voting ballot. | Bryan Hoch: In an exclusive interview (paywall) with Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, Joe Girardi talked about the Yankees decision not to bring him back. Girardi said that he was both “surprised” and “disappointed” and was hoping he could come back to finish what they started this year. He mentioned that he and Brian Cashman would have disagreements every now and then, but he thinks their relationship was good and that he still has a good relationship with ownership.

Vanity Fair | Bethany McLean: If you’ve been avoiding the internet the past couple of months, you may not have heard that Alex Rodriguez is dating Jennifer Lopez. The two seem extremely happy with each other and their relationship seems to make sense. J-Rod got with Vanity Fair to discuss their relationship and what makes it work, including details about their first date. Also as Greg Kirkland pointed out, the magazine cover photo looks like a James Bond poster.

New York Post | Dan Martin: So, this one should be fun, but according to David Ortiz, of all people, neither Alex Rodriguez nor Derek Jeter are happy with the Yankees right now. This is apparently stemming from how A-Rod was cut last year and possibly from Jeter’s contract negotiations in 2011, who knows? Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if this were true but I don’t know how much I believe this. If Jeter did have a problem with the Yankees I don’t know that he’d go telling Ortiz of all people.
