Last week we asked Pinstripe Alley readers to share their gameday superstitions. I know that when I’m watching at home, I have to sit in the same exact spot. Plus, I won’t wear any Yankees-related gear during the game. Don’t ask me why, but that’s just the way it goes.
We’re diving into a more serious topic now, though. Here’s this week’s prompt:
Should the Yankees bring Joe Girardi back next season?
The decision to not challenge the Lonnie Chisenhall hit by pitch during Game Two of the ALDS looms like a dark cloud over Girardi’s managerial resume. Prior to this blunder, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that he would return as the Yankees manager. If he wanted the job, one would have assumed it was his.
Now, however, the Yankees have to think long and hard before bringing the skipper back. Do you think he lost the confidence of the locker room? Was this a move that strained his relationship with the Yankees beyond repair? Let us know what you think by heading over to the FanPost section.
How will we select which FanPosts to promote to the front page? Some of it will be subjective. If you follow our tips linked above, you should find yourself on the right track. We will also be looking for FanPosts with comments and recommendations. Depending on the number of responses we get, receiving some recs on your post could separate your FanPost from the crowd. Additionally, if your post has a number of comments then it may have sparked some worthwhile discussions. These are just a few things we’ll be looking for when we decide which post(s) to promote on the front page. We are always on the lookout for new talent, and the FanPost section can be a great way to get our attention.
Submit your answer in the FanPost section before Friday (October 13th) for your post to be considered.
