It’s time for another FanPost Friday prompt. Thanks to everyone who submitted FanPosts last week regarding the MLB rules they would like to see changed. There were some really interesting ideas in there, including rules about hometown heroes, the idea of one free substitution, and whether a lineup of all designated hitters would work. You can check out all of the submissions here.
Here is this week’s prompt, courtesy of Greg Kirkland:
Construct Yankee Stadium IV
The current stadium is very new and should be around for a long time, but let’s jump ahead to Yankee Stadium IV. What additions would you like to see in the next stadium, no matter how absurd they may seem? Would you continue with a classic Yankee Stadium look? Make it look more like Yankee Stadium II? Or something entirely different altogether? Want to change Monument Park? Add a home run sculpture? Let your mind run wild and sell us on your new stadium.
Before you start, make sure you check out our tips for writing a good FanPost. A good rule of thumb is to make sure that your post has at least 250 words. This week’s prompt doesn’t really call for facts or statistics, so it may be best to focus on grammar and spelling issues.
How will we select which FanPosts to promote to the front page? Some of it will be subjective. If you follow our tips linked above, you should find yourself on the right track. We will also be looking for FanPosts with comments and recommendations. Depending on the number of responses we get, receiving some recs on your post could separate your FanPost from the crowd. Additionally, if your post has a number of comments then it may have sparked some worthwhile discussions. These are just a few things we’ll be looking for when we decide which post(s) to promote on the front page.
Make sure you head over to the FanPost section of the website to submit your answers before Friday (February 3rd).
