New York Post | Post Staff: Now that it’s 2017, there are some 2017 predictions for NY sports teams. Well, NYC sports teams. Don’t worry, as pretty much anyone can predict what the Bills will do in 2017. As for the Yankees, Girardi might be on the hot seat, Greg Bird will be the breakout player of the team, and Michael Pineda will be Michael Pineda.

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: There has been a lot of questions regarding the deal the Yankees gave Aroldis Chapman. It’s a hefty deal for a reliever. Brian Cashman addressed the heft of it, essentially saying that he’s hoping his durability can be as potent as his fastball. Bold.
