It has been almost exactly a month since the last Ask Pinstripe Alley post, and man, has there been a ridiculous amount of Yankees news since then. The Yankees sold at the deadline, trading all of Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller, Carlos Beltran, and Ivan Nova. Mark Teixeira announced that he would be retiring. Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees had a somewhat awkward divorce that culminated in perhaps his final career game on August 12th. Nathan Eovaldi’s elbow blew up. The 1996 Yankees and Mariano Rivera were celebrated.
Perhaps most importantly, “the kids” have been unleashed on Yankee Stadium, as Gary Sanchez, Aaron Judge, and Tyler Austin are now all fairly constant presences in the starting lineup. It is a time of transition for Yankees fans, but the youth movement has to be exciting.
So I’m sure there will probably be a good number of questions for the mailbag. What’s on your mind? Any of these many topics would be fine fodder. You can go ahead and submit your question directly below in the comment section, or you can shoot us an email at pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail dot com.
Barring any crazy news prior to the Yankees’ late West Coast game against the Angels, I’m going to run a quick turnaround on this and get my answers out by early tomorrow evening, so please submit your questions by 3 PM EST on Friday. Looking forward to what you have to offer!
