It's currently pouring in the Bronx but the Yankees are hoping that it clears up. The Yankees send Ivan Nova to mound against Kevin Gausman. Nova is making is his first start since the All Star break. The right hander has a 5.18 ERA on the season and has given up a lot of home runs, which doesn't make for a good match up because the Orioles lead the majors in home runs with 141.
Opposite Nova is the 25 year old Kevin Gausman, who is the Orioles first round pick from 2012. The right hander has had a nice year, throwing 86.2 innings with a 4.15 ERA. On June 5, he faced the Yankees and gave up one earned run over in six innings but had to settle for a no decision.
