Oh boy, wouldn't a sweep be amazing? After getting swept by the Red Sox just a week ago and then losing two of three to the Orioles, the Yankees could actually have... a winning streak? Weird, I know. To do that, though, they'll need Luis Severino to straighten himself out. He comes into tonight with a 6.31 ERA and 4.44 FIP, but he did have a decent start against the Orioles, allowing three runs over six innings. Let's hope we get that as the bare minimum.
The Yankees are still without Jacoby Ellsbury and Alex Rodriguez, but they will have a relatively standard lineup to face the Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright. Wright has started the year with a stellar 1.67 ERA, but don't be fooled: he is borderline replacement level. Runs would be appreciated.
Go Yankees, boo Red Sox, go baseball.
