Newsday | Eric Boland: Ivan Nova has pitched well his last three starts. With Luis Severino on the DL, it could not have come at a better time. Depending on Nova's next couple of starts, and with Michael Pineda doing the opposite of Ivan Nova, some discussions are probably going to need to happen when Severino is healthy again.

Newsday | Eric Boland: Alex Rodriguez was going to come off of the DL on Thursday. Then he was going to come off of the DL on Saturday. Now it looks like A-Rod won't be activated until Tuesday. Does anyone want to put money down on a later date than that? Do I hear Friday?

New York Daily News | Mark Feinsand: Continuing on the pitching discussion from earlier, CC Sabathia's return to the rotation will also factor in to the future decision regarding Pineda and Severino. Praise be to CC's knee brace, as Sabathia pitched very well against the A's last night.

ESPN | Wallace Matthews: Carlos Beltran's bat has been a key factor for the Yankees this month. With A-Rod still on the DL, the Yankees have had more opportunities to use Beltran as a DH. Whether this is helping or not remains to be seen.

New York Daily News | Christian Red: Hal Steinbrenner is not selling the team. That's really all that needs to be said on the matter. Sorry.
