Earlier today, the team announced that they had optioned outfielder Ben Gamel in favor of left-handed reliever Tyler Olson. Considering the Yankees are now playing with two outfielders, Carlos Beltran, and whatever you consider Dustin Ackley to be at this point, the move doesn't make a lot of sense if Ellsbury isn't coming back.
