Brett Gardner has been one of the hottest hitters for the Yankees as of late, which admittedly hasn't taken much. Lately, the Yankees' offense has struggled. A stiff neck for Gardner will keep him out of the lineup for today at least. Zombie Carlos Beltran has been the Yankees other hottest hitter, and luckily he's still in the lineup. Even with the Gardner injury, the Yankees' lineup still has the firepower to break out of their slump at any time, at least potentially.
In his last appearance, Yankees' starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi allowed four runs on eight hits in a loss to the Blue Jays. The Yankees would like him to perform a bit better tonight as they face Kendall Graveman and the Athletics.
