The Yankees lost yesterday's spring training game against the Marlins. They also won in other, more important areas. CC Sabathia made spring training debut and it did not disappoint. He held the Marlins hitless over the two innings he pitched. Out of the 25 pitches he threw, 16 of them were strikes. It's great to see Sabathia throwing again, and more importantly it's great to hear that he's a lot healthier. As Alex Rodriguez said the other day, we're all rooting for CC.
In other, more hilarious news, the Braves continued their collection of former Yankees by signing Phil Coke to a minor league deal. That's quite the team the Braves are assembling down there. The NL East is going to be an interesting division to watch. It will probably be a hilarious division to watch as well. Speaking of the NL East, the Yankees will take on the likely winner of that division this afternoon.
Comments of the Day
Definitely an appropriate response. That trade would have been a disaster.
Just to be on the safe side, we should probably Fire Cashman anyway!
GIF of the Day
In honor of the game today, a classic GIF of Jeter from a previous game between these two ballclubs.
Honorable Mod Mention
Matt P wins the HMM for his article on spring training in regards to prospects.
Fun Questions
By the way, that makes 20 former Yankees taken by the Braves since the start of 2015. No, really. pic.twitter.com/MYKL5Wrqtr

Song of the Day
I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) by Pitbull
It's #DALE Week on Pinstripe Alley. This song was my first experience with Pitbull. The only reason I heard it was because Melky Cabrera used it as his at bat music, which I liked at the time. As always, please link us your song of the day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for today's game. It's Yankees vs. Mets this afternoon. This game will be broadcast on SNY and MLBN. Ivan Nova will take the mound against Jacob deGrom.
