PSA Comments of the Day 3/23/16: Yankees at Nationals tonight

Tanaka vs. Strasburg

There was another battle between the Yankees and the Mets to see who owned New York. Well, not so much New York. More like the place New Yorkers go when they are tired of New York. I still don't quite understand why certain New Yorkers do this, as Florida is hot, sticky, and people get into fights with burritos. To each their own I suppose.

In any case, the Yankees were victorious over their baseball cousins from Queens, defeating the Mets 6-3. Luis Severino pitched 4.1 innings last night, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five and walking only one batter. Looking good, Sevy. Looking good. Alex Rodriguez, Didi Gregorius, Brett Gardner, and Carlos Beltran scored five runs in one innings off of Steven Matz. I guess this tweet from the Yankees twitter account was accurate!

Honorable Mod Mention

Tanya wins the HMM for her positive article about the Yankees and their chances this year.

Fun Questions

  • Besides health, what do you think is the Yankees' biggest concern this year?
  • Hot coffee or iced coffee?

Song of the Day

Into The Thick Of It by The OneUps

It's Nature Week on Pinstripe Alley. Yet another nerdy offering from me for this week. This theme is from the SNES game Secret of Mana, brilliantly covered by The OneUps. At this point, Shah & I might need to rename this week SNES Nature Week. On a sadder note, Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest passed away last night. The Phifer is one of my all time favorite rappers. I can promise you that next week will be A Tribe Called Quest week in honor of him. May he rest in peace. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for today. The Yankees will take on the Nationals at 5PM this evening. Masahiro Tanaka will face off against Stephen Strasburg. This game will be broadcast on MLBN and MLB.tv. go yankees go baseball
