PSA Comments of the Day 3/22/16: Yankees vs. Mets tonight

New, 10 comments

With pretty much no more off days between now and then, it's the final countdown to Opening Day!

This is symbolic for how the Yankees are obviously destined to crash and burn this season, right?

Yesterday the Yankees had their last off day of spring training until the day before Opening Day. Unfortunately for us, or fortunately, this means there wasn't a lot of news to come from camp yesterday. But hey, there are only #BAEROD days until the season beings for the Yankees, but I bet none of you are actually excited, right?

While it's not certain what every member of the Yankees did during their day off, but two of the veterans and leaders of the team certainly made the most of it.

! If you're not jealous of Carlos Beltran, you're lying.

Comments of the Day

I'd personally still give CC the first crack at the rotation over Nova. But definitely wouldn't want both of them making starts.

They should sell and start thinking about 2017!

Hey DK! Wanna pitch for the Yankees? Oh no? I guess you'll join the Astros then.

Honorable Mod Mention

Greg wins the HMM for suggesting today's SOTD which inspired today's GOTD. Way to make your presence known, Kirkland!

Fun Questions

  • Have you been watching season two of Marvel's Daredevil at all? If so, how far are you? (Please remember to use spoiler text if appropriate)
  • Favorite TV couple?

Song of the Day

Jungle Hijinx from Donkey Kong Country

It's Nature Week on Pinstripe Alley. Today's song was suggested by Greg as a result of this thread yesterday. I still can't believe Cashman didn't sign DK! As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for tonight's game. The Yankees take on their crosstown rivals, the Mets, tonight at 6:30pm. Luis Severino will get the start for the Yankees and he's slated to face Steven Matz. This game will, unfortunately, not be broadcast through any medium because yay spring training.
