PSA Comments of the Day 3/2/16: Yankees vs. Tigers

Baseball is back!

Let's get this started.
Let's get this started.
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

We made it. Take a second to pat yourselves on the back, maybe even find the person closest to you and ask them to pat you on the back as well. While we celebrated and rejoiced pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training, and celebrated the end of the off season, we still didn't have baseball up until now. Today, ladies and gentlemen, there will be actual Yankee baseball played, and I couldn't be more excited. Except for the fact that spring training games are during the day and I won't be able to watch at work. But if you ignore that, it's a happy day!

Going forward, for spring training games, these COTD posts will also be leveraged as game threads, so if you're looking for a place to talk about the game, this is that place.

Comments of the Day

Yeah there were quite a few blue'd comments yesterday, but baseball is back and this is a happy thread, so I'm going to avoid that whole topic.

GIF of the Day

My baseball is back dance!

Honorable Mod Mention

A few mods acted honorably yesterday, but again I want to keep this a happy thread. Factoring that, Harlan stands tall as the most honorable for his response to Greg's dog question from yesterday:

Fun Questions

  • Predict the final score of today's game.
  • Two innings or 20 pitches, which comes first for Severino?

Song of the Day

Pokemon Black & White Theme Song from Pokemon Black & White movies

It's PokeWeek on Pinstripe Alley. Today's song comes is the full length version of the Black & White theme song that can be heard in the two movies of that series. It's not really a good song, but for some reason, I think it's really catchy. As always please link us your song of the day.

As previously stated, use this as your game thread for today's spring training game against the Tigers. The Yankees will send young phenom Luis Severino to the mound to face off against Mike Pelfrey of the Tigers. Here is the lineup Joe Girardi will send out for the first game:

The game will be televised on YES, MLBN, and MLB.TV, but not available to listen on WFAN. Let's go Yankees!
