Being that it is March and we are still in the throws of fake baseball, the phrase "it's only spring training" is a common one. Lately, it could be used to try and make sense of what's going on with CC Sabathia. It's only spring training, but right now that phrase probably offers little comfort after watching him struggle these past weeks. It would be less troublesome if there were any real hope that he actually was competing for his starting pitcher job over Ivan Nova. Odds are, he is not. That is what is so upsetting about seeing Sabathia struggle. Most of us know that he is going to be in the starting rotation over Ivan Nova, regardless of where either of them are in their respective careers. It's only spring training though, so we'll just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, Dellin Betances is still pretty good.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for today's game. The Yankees will take on the Atlanta Braves this afternoon. Michael Pineda will take the mound for the Yankees. The game will be broadcast on the YES Network and WFAN as well. You know, pretty much the standard broadcasting methods of the New York Yankees.
