Must-win or mustiest-win?

It's spring training for everyone and everything right now, ladies and gentlemen. The Yankees decided to give us our first taste of a Monday in which Yankee Baseball was not being played. This "day off" as it is commonly called, is usually on a Monday or a Thursday. I suppose it's nice of the Yankees to prepare their fans for the inevitability of such days during the regular season. Some would say that they are heroes for doing this. Not me though. I love baseball. Here is how some of the Yankees spent their time off.

I'll assume that Mario Kart music was playing in the background.

Way to go, Joe.

There needs to be a Yankees' edition of the Food Network show Chopped now. Sorry, but it has to happen.

Comments of the Day

Not accusing designatedquitter of this, but there are some fans out there that would have you believe it's the same thing.

The answer to the second question is 100% the correct answer.

GIF of the Day

Yeah, I'd probably do the same thing if I were a costumed villain!

Honorable Mod Mention

It was an off day, and therefore no one wins. Yep, we're back to that again!

Fun Questions

  • Which Yankee players would you like to see compete on the show Chopped?
  • What basket ingredients would you give them for their appetizer, entree, and/or dessert round?

Song of the Day

Mad World by Gregorian: Masters of Chant

It's March Madness Week on Pinstripe Alley. Today's song is the classic Tears for Fears song being sung by Gregorian monks. Did I choose this version because they're Gregorian monks and my first name is Greg? The answer may surprise you. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for today's game. The Yankees will be facing off against those dastardly Boston Red Sox. Their spring training complex is designed to be like Fenway Park, because one Green Monster isn't awful enough. The game will be on at 6PM tonight on MLBN or MLB.tv, so Yankee fans will get a taste of baseball being played at night. Huzzah!
