Although the Yankees avoided signing any free agents over the offseason, the team still made a number of transactions via trade and minor-league signings. Here is a summary of every transaction made by the Yankees since the 2015 season ended, just in case you missed some.

October 7: Right-handed pitcher Kyle Davies became a free agent. He has since signed with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

October 15: Middle infielder Gregorio Petit became a free agent. He signed a minor league contract with the Angels and received a spring training invite.

November 2: Lefty Chris Capuano became a free agent, and now he's trying to earn a spot on the Brewers. Backup outfielder Chris Young became a free agent and signed a deal with the Red Sox. Stephen Drew also became a free agent and caught on with the Nationals. Additionally, Sergio Santos became a free agent after undergoing Tommy John surgery in June 2015.

The Yankees also released reliever Chris Martin and sold his rights to the Nippon Ham Fighters.

November 4: Right-handed reliever Andrew Bailey became a free agent. He has signed a minor league deal with the Phillies. They also added Vicente Campos to the 40-man roster.

November 6: Several minor league players selected free agency, including Jose De Paula, Cole Figueroa, Diego Moreno, Rico Noel and Wilking Rodriguez. Some of them remain free agents, but Figueroa and Noel signed minor league contracts with the Pirates and Dodgers, respectively.

November 9: The Yankees signed catcher Francisco Diaz to a minor league deal and invited him to spring training. They also signed right-handed pitcher Jhony Brito to a minor league contract.

November 11: The team traded Jose Pirela to the Padres in exchange for right-handed pitcher Ronald Herrera

The Yankees also traded John Ryan Murphy to the Twins in exchange for Aaron Hicks.

PSA's take: "Murphy did everything you could want out of a backup catcher during 2015 and his celebrations endeared him to many. Moving him does, however, open the door for Gary Sanchez..."

November 16: Right-handed pitcher Spencer Mahoney was signed to a minor league deal.

November 18: Catcher Kyle Higashioka signed a minor league deal and was invited to spring training.

November 20: The Yankees added Rookie Davis, Johnny Barbato and Ben Gamel to the 40-man roster to protect them from being selected during the Rule 5 Draft.

The Rays also claimed Chase Whitley off of waivers. He had been recovering from Tommy John surgery.

November 24: Right-handed pitcher Daniel Marten signed a minor league contract.

November 30: The Yankees brought back Diego Moreno on a minor league deal and signed Pete Kozma to one as well. Both were invited to spring training.

December 3: Pitcher Domingo German became a free agent, and a week later signed a new deal with the team.

December 8: The Yankees acquired Starlin Castro from the Cubs in exchange for Adam Warren and a player to be named later (Brendan Ryan). Ryan has since reunited with Drew on the Nationals team.

PSA's take: "Adam Warren will definitely be missed, but I'll take that in exchange for someone who can fill the hole at second and provide legitimate upside."

December 9: The Yankees traded Justin Wilson to the Tigers in exchange for minor league pitchers Chad Green and Luis Cessa.

PSA's take: "It is still very early in the off-season, and as David Carpenter demonstrated last year, good relievers can become bad ones in a hurry, so Wilson is no guarantee."

December 10: Jake Cave was claimed off of waivers by the Reds, while Evan Rutckyj was claimed off of waivers by the Braves.

December 16: The Yankees signed second baseman Jose Rosario to a minor league deal.

December 17: Catcher Sebastian Valle signed a minor league contract and was invited to spring training.

December 18: Left-handed pitcher Richard Bleier and right fielder Juan Silva signed minor league deals. The former received a spring training invite.

December 19: The Yankees signed right-handed pitcher Vinnie Pestano to a minor league deal and invited him to spring training.

December 21: Outfielder Cesar Puello signed a minor league contract and was invited to spring training.

December 24: Third baseman Donovan Solano signed a minor league deal and was invited to spring training.

December 28: The Yankees acquired Aroldis Chapman from the Reds in exchange for Caleb Cotham, Rookie Davis, Eric Jagielo and Tony Renda.

PSA's take: "In all, New York has assembled the best bullpen in baseball without sacrificing significant value."

December 31: Shortstop Jonathan Diaz signed a minor league deal and was invited to spring training.

January 3: Yankees signed right-handed pitcher Tyler Jones to a minor league deal.

January 8: Pitcher Kirby Yates was purchased from the Indians.

January 12: The Yankees traded Rob Segedin to the Dodgers in exchange for left-handed pitcher Tyler Olsen and shortstop Ronald Torreyes. The latter was later designated for assignment and claimed off of waivers by the Angels. The Yankees then claimed him off waivers from the Angels to get him back.

PSA's take: "The Yankees made a move! It might be completely inconsequential, but it's a move just the same."

January 14: Pitcher Anthony Swarzak signed a minor league deal with the team.

January 15: The Yankees claimed outfielder Lane Adams off of waivers from the Royals. They also signed Wandy Soto (RHP) and Ysaac Pena (C) to minor league contracts.

January 22: The Yankees signed Tyler Cloyd to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

January 25: Catcher Carlos Corporan signed a minor league deal and was invited to spring training.

January 29: The team signed Deibinson Romero to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

February 1: The Yankees designated Lane Adams for assignment, then later sent him outright to Triple-A Scranton.
