PSA Comments of the Day 3/10/16: Yankees vs. Orioles/Blue Jays

Split squad!

"I didn't want to send the runner, but Rob Thompson said always send the runner. My head hurts."

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees scored two runs late in yesterday's game against the Mets to force it to go to a 10th inning. Fortunately (or unfortunately) spring training games can end in ties and since neither team scored in the 10th, the Yankees tied the Mets. Ivan Nova had a solid outing yesterday, allowing three hits in three innings while inducing two double-play ground balls. Something I've never really worried about was Nova's ability to induce ground balls, what I have worried about is Nova's ability to be good. So far he's been solid in spring training, but I'm still not sold.

Top prospect James Kaprielian did not have a good outing, as he allowed four runs (two earned) in 1.2 innings of work. What is promising is that in his first inning of work, he retired Yoenis Cespedes, Lucas Duda, and Neil Walker all of whom are big league players. It was after that when he unraveled. Luckily for him, his spring is more about which level of the minors he will begin at rather than trying to make the team so this outing probably doesn't impact him as much as it impacts others.

Comments of the Day

I don't want to include what he's talking about, because it's bad. Really bad.

Song of the Day

Baddest Girl in Town by Pitbull ft. Mohombi, Wisin

It's #DALE Week on Pinstripe Alley. The album today's song comes from is called "Dale" or in proper English...#DALE. You can see why this song's relevant. It's still pretty good though. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open threads for today's games. The Yankees will see their first spring training split squad action today. Bryan Mitchell and his #squad will take on the Orioles in their camp while Nathan Eovaldi will lead his #squad to face the Blue Jays at Steinbrenner Field. Newly acquired closer Aroldis Chapman is also set to make his season debut in the game against the Blue Jays. The Orioles game will be available on MLB.tv, while the Blue Jays game will be broadcast on YES and MLB.tv.

Why is it that when there's two games there are options to watch both games but when there's just one game sometimes there's nothing? Please start to make sense, spring training.
