PSA Comments of the Day 2/25/16: Let victory prevail!

We're obviously talking about Yankees victories.

It rained a lot everywhere apparently.

Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday almost all position players officially reported to Spring Training to officially begin the chase for 28.

Doesn't seem like it will be a big issue and will hopefully be resolved relatively soon. As players began to report, status updates on players began to roll in. Turns out the Yankees have had internal discussions about trying Rob Refsnyder out at third base this spring.

It's interesting to see that the Cashman and Girardi disagree about even trying Refsnyder out at third, but I'm sure this is far from the full story. Let's see if he gets a look or not. Additionally, it seems that team president Randy Levine met with Scott Cutler, President of StubHub, in an effort to hopefully reach a compromise in this battle that the Yankees started and are at fault for.

Likely nothing comes of this, but hopefully something does.

Honorable Mod Mention

Using my COTD powers, I'm giving Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz honorary mod privileges and giving him the HMM for his letter to Randy Levine. Read the whole thing here.

Fun Questions

  • Is auntie pronounced "anty" or "awnty"?
  • What should John Sterling's HR call for Ronald Torreyes be?

Song of the Day

Jai Ho by A.R. Rahman

It's Oscar Winners Week on Pinstripe Alley. For a long time, I've wanted to make it Bollywood Week on PSA, not just because I think it would be fun to see what songs Greg finds and chooses, but just because I love me my Bollywood music. Thus far, I've decided not to do that, but will use this week's theme as an opportunity to share something that's close enough. Today's song won the award in 2008 for the film Slumdog Millionaire, which also went on to win Best Picture. Also, loosely translated, "jai ho" means "let victory prevail", hence the COTD title. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread. Jai ho!
