PSA Comments of the Day 2/23/16: What can you see on the horizon?

Baseball has come to carry you home.

Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees have new conditioning equipment for their players to use at spring training. Well it's not so much equipment as it is a hill. They have a hill. The Yankees' strength and conditioning coach Matt Krause has reportedly wanted this hill ever since he joined the team in 2014 and he finally got his wish, mentioning how he had used hills during his previous assignments. So far the players seem to be embracing it.

"It’s pretty cool, something different to do," said reliever Dellin Betances. "I think the guys enjoy it. I feel like you get more strength on your lower body running up a hill and I think sprints in general help us generate more velo (velocity) and more strength."

Ivan Nova's nonchalance on the matter is probably my favorite thing about Nova in the last year:

"It’s cool. We have hills in the DR, not a big deal,"

I'll be honest, I'm sure this new addition looks hill-arious, but there's no reason to make mountains out of molehills. Maybe the Yankees are secretly endorsing the Presidential candidacy of Hillary Clinton. Either way, it's sure to be a thr-hilling story to follow during Spring Training. Maybe one day "Mount Krause" will be referred to as "Mount Doom", but unt-hill then we should all just cHill out.

Song of the Day

Into the West by Fran Walsh, Howard Shore, and Annie Lennox

It's Oscar Winners Week on Pinstripe Alley. Honestly, I could easily have made this "Disney Oscar Winners" week, done every thread this week and have just been happy. But, I'll try and throw some variety in there. Today's choice won in 2003 and was from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, you know the year when RotK went 11-for-11 in nominations. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread. Don't judge me if I only post Disney songs from here on out.
