PSA Comments of the Day 2/16/16: You know I believe and how

Something in the way baseball moves me.

And now I'd like to tell you about my beef with Bob Davidson...
Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

Only a couple more days until pitchers and catchers report for duty. While we await that glorious day, some Yankee pitchers were in the news yesterday. Andy Pettitte of the fabled "Fab Five" was at the Yankees' minor-league training complex in Tampa. Pettitte was there to talk to some of the young Yankee minor leaguers as part of the "Captain's Camp" program, imparting his wisdom and experiences regarding making it to the major leagues. One baby bomber, Aaron Judge, apparently took Pettitte deep quite a few times. He also really enjoyed Pettitte's words of wisdom. Here's hoping we here more of this kind of stuff in the coming days.

In more joyous news, Masahiro Tanaka and his wife celebrated the birth of a baby boy. Between this and Tanaka thus far throwing off the mound without any pain, things are seemingly going his way. Now he just needs to teach his son how to throw that splitter. It's never too early to learn.

Comments of the Day

No COTDs yesterday. Nope.

GIF of the Day

Yesterday was President's Day and the Yankees twitter account posted this famous scene at Yankee Stadium.

Honorable Mod Mention

The HMM goes to Rick Funaro for his two posts from yesterday.

Fun Questions

  • What should Tanaka name his son?
  • If you were a minor league player listening to Andy Pettitte talk about his experiences, what question(s) would you ask him?

Song of the Day

Something by The Beatles

It's PSA Staff Picks Love Songs Week on Pinstripe Alley. Today's selection comes from Matt P. and what a fantastic selection it is. One of their best songs. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Spring Training is just around the corner.
