Is there a better way to express love? Me thinks...not! Love really was in the air yesterday as our favorite Rod, Dad-Rod, was out celebrating Valentine's with the two most important girls in his life.
The day was not without Yankees/baseball news though, as free agent first basement Ike Davis chose to sign a minor league deal with the Rangers. The Yankees were in the hunt for his services until the end there, but lost out to Texas. Davis would have immediately jumped up to be the starting 1B for AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and possibly even the starting 1B if Mark Teixeira got hurt for a significant amount of time. For now, that role seemingly still belongs to Dustin Ackley.
